Another successful delivery with 3S Marine Training, this time a private sailing vessel Oceanis 41.1 from Dubrovnik to Lavagna. We covered 900+ nautical miles in 8 days with tough weather conditions, in order to deliver the boat just in time for the Easter break, so the new owner could enjoy a deserved vacation with his family.

Champagne Hippy – Gosport to Palma – 2025
3S Marine Training recently completed the successful delivery of Champagne Hippy,
a luxurious and powerful bluewater Oyster 825 sailing yacht designed for long-range
cruising with exceptional comfort and performance.
This offshore passage covered over 1,600 nautical miles, crossing the Bay of Biscay
and navigating down the Atlantic coasts of Spain and Portugal before entering the
Mediterranean through the Strait of Gibraltar. The delivery was carried out by a
qualified and experienced crew (RYA Yachtmaster Offshore and Ocean) ensuring
the safe and timely arrival of the vessel.

s/v Euploia – Antigua – Med – 2024
The ocean crossing of s/v Euploia, an Amel Santorini 46, was completed in May
2024, a total of 3,300 nautical miles.
The yacht had wintered on the hard in Trinidad; the two Italian owners returned mid-
February and then spent the next 10 weeks cruising the Caribbean with destination
Antigua. Here they were joined by two commercially-endorsed RYA Yachtmasters
(Ocean and Offshore).
After thorough checks and preparation Euploia set sail from Jolly Harbour early
morning the 30 th April, destination the Mediterranean via the Azores.
Although accomplished sailors the owners didn’t feel confident enough to undertake
the ocean crossing without professional help.
Variable weather conditions, and managing unforeseen situation, are often part of a
long ocean passage: a night-time arrival under sail in Horta with engine failure, rain
and fog probably left the owners’ feeling satisfied with their choice; especially as we
had to use radar for the pilotage to the harbour entrance.
